At the Studio, students are provided classical training in the theatrical arts with a Christian perspective. Students learn from top instructors who are dedicated Christians. Our custom designed, progressive drama curriculum allows students to continue to grow in ability and knowledge while increasing their skills each year. In addition to theatrical instruction, students learn and discuss ways to use drama to draw people to God. While our emphasis is on acting and character development, our students learn skills in vocal control, stage movement, characterization, costuming, make up design, improvisation, auditioning and directing. Materials used include: scenes and monologues taken from strong literary sources, poetry, film and biblical sketches. All materials are carefully edited for content.
As Christians, everything we do is a reflection of who we are in Christ; therefore, our teachers lovingly encourage excellence among all our students. Goals for drama students at the Studio include: increased poise, self-control, self-confidence, creativity, vocal control, cooperation, memorization skills, and character development. At the close of our Studio year, students will perform in a production, which will provide a showcase for the skills they have learned.
