Sarah Kerr has been dancing almost all her life. She began dancing at the age of three at Dance for Joy , taking ballet and tap classes. When Dance for Joy closed she began lessons at the Lilburn School of Ballet and joined the pre-professional company. She quickly moved up to the Senior Company and danced many lead roles such as Sugar Plum Fairy and Dew Drop in The Nutcracker , the lead girl in Paquita, the lead in Cinderella , and the Black Swan in Swan Lake.
She went on to attend the University of South Florida where she received several talent grants and scholarships. It was there that she learned to love modern dance as well as ballet and she was cast in every faculty concert. She also had her choreography chosen for a student production. She graduated in May 2005 with a B.F.A. in Dance Performance. While in school she had the privilege of working with such artists and choreographers as Gretchen Ward Warren, Gabriella Darvash, Sandra Robinson, Lynne Wimmer, Michael Foley, John Parks, Charles Flachs, Gerry Houlihan, Sasha Yapparov, and Nina Watt. Sarah currently dances professionally with the modern company Full Radius Dance.
Sarah was raised in a Catholic home with two loving parents, two older brothers and a younger sister. Sarah's family is very supportive of her dancing and is very excited that she is teaching at The Studio School of the Arts. Sarah believes that God blessed her with a special talent and she is supposed to share it with others.
